It’s no secret, we have the travel bug biting at our heels to get out and about. Cabin fever was setting in something fierce. And low and behold, the weather let up and gave us a beautiful weekend! So we spent an evening at Twin Lakes Park in Greensburg PA. It was free and beautiful.
Twin Lakes Park is a beautiful county park near Greensburg PA. My husband grew up visiting the park often. He’d been wanting to take me for years.

There are two lakes, one upper lake and one lower lake. We visited on a crystal clear day. The water was like glass!
I fell in love with the walkways. Made of paved stone and story book like.
It’s still winter, so many of the trees are bare. Pine trees line west side of the park.
We stopped for a Facebook worthy photo π
Someday we hope to come back when it’s warm to take advantage of a boat rental.
Or just stroll on the boardwalk with a snack.
I love that the walking paths go along both lakes and crisscross in the middle. It makes for a lovely walk.
Do you have a favorite park? Where is it?

March 5, 2016 at 8:20 amHi Jenn, I just discovered your blog from Photo Friday. I love visiting parks in the winter when nobody else is around, and I agree with you – those stone paths are very enticing, as is that crystal clear water. I love the idea of TravelTip Tuesday for a link-up. I’m going to try and pop over next Tuesday to join in. In the meantime, have a beautiful weekend.
