Dollar General Penny Items as of November 2015

Well, in response to popular demand I’m back with even more Dollar General Penny items!

Dollar General Penny Items November

Did you know there are items for sale in Dollar General for a penny? Yep! It’s true. Don’t believe me? Check my last post with my big haul.

A couple of tips:

  • When looking for penny items, please don’t make a mess! Put things back!
  • If you find an item you believe is a penny, just grab all of them. DG policy is to sell you everything in your cart.
  • Don’t argue with cashiers or management.
  • Don’t demand or ask for penny items. The don’t usually know where they are.
  • Check check check your tags. I make a list based on what to look for on the tag 🙂

And that’s about all for my upfront tips.

Does the item have to be so many years back? I’m just learning. Today I went into a DG and seen 2 desk fans on the last chance isle With a big yellow $10 sticker on the front of the box and on the pic SS14.. It however did not have any sort of colored circle. How do differentiate? Must it have the colored dot or star

It wasn’t a mistake 🙂 the codes and tags can reset. This usually happens with children’s clothing, but can happen with anything. All you can do is give it a go and try 😉

A family member of mine works at DG. She constantly complains about the penny shoppers that come into the store. The employees aren’t allowed to buy these items because the district managers consider it stealing, since those things were supposed to be taken off the shelves. The people that go into the store are extremely rude and disrespectful. They tell the employees that they HAVE TO sell it to them. These people come in during the season and hide items in places that they can’t be found so they can come back after season and get it for a penny. I feel like this is playing the system, especially because these people get cart-loads and most likely resell it. I, and I’m sure my relative as well, do appreciate that you look for things instead of hiding them away, and that you also advise people to respect the employees and the store.

Yes. I hate to see or hear of anyone making a mess or causing a scene. Not necessary at all. I’ve only found a few things myself. And they made fantastic baby shower gifts along with a few other items. I have no idea why anyone would hide things or even know what to hide! I am so sorry for any trouble some have caused by being inconsiderate 🙁

I work at DG and I get penny shoppers in here too. Sometimes when we put pennied out items to the back we miss some on the sales floor and people find them. SOME people do try to hide items that they know will be pennied out soon and make a mess, but we find them and just set them back on the shelves. lol. Even had one customer in with a whole cart full of penny items the other day. It doesn’t bother me much. I was surprised that she found all of those. She was nice enough to teach me how she figured out they were pennied out. Honestly I say happy hunting, because in my perspective, the items we missed on the sales floor are just more crap that’s taking up room from the new merchandise.

is this for all d/g or just your local one. I never find anything, also my store said they look at fb and pull everything. one would think they would rather sell than send back

This should be across the board at all DG. Finding them is kind of a treasure hunt though!
