Looking for a cheap date night idea? Here’s a creative way to plan a cheap date, the Date Jar printable version. I’ve compiled a big list of date ideas that are fun and won’t hurt the budget and created a nice little printable to share!
You can keep a little date jar on a shelf for date inspiration when it’s time to reconnect or for whenever you’re just plain bored. Every date in this printable is also a frugal idea. There are only a handful of dates that will cost anything at all! Because I’m Cheap π
Ready to make your own?
Instructions:
Step 1:
Gather supplies. You’ll need to print the Date Jar Printables (I made it myself AND it’s free!) These are the actual dates:Β Date Night SlipsΒ And this is the label for the jar with instructions:Β Date Jar Label
Step 2:
Cut out the label and attach it to your jar. I just use tape. Doesn’t need to be fancy!
Step 3:
Cut out the date slips. Optionally I’ve included a blank page for you to write in any of your own ideas!
Step 4:
Fold up the date slips and fill up the jar.
Step 5:
You’re done! Now it’s ready to use. When you’re looking for date inspiration, just pick a random slip out of the jar and have some frugal fun together π
Did you like the Date Jar printable? Would you be interested in more frugalΒ date ideas?Β Follow me on Twitter, I share a cheap date every week and I might just make more themed date jars too!

September 23, 2015 at 4:23 pmOh my gosh this is such a cute idea! My boyfriend and I always try to mix it up for date nights but then we end up bailing on our original plan and usually end up doing some sort of dinner and a movie – either in or out! haha

September 23, 2015 at 11:30 pmWe got in a rut awhile back. Just dinner and a movie. Every single time. Not that that is a bad thing, we just needed to mix it up a little π
