I get paid to buy groceries

If you have a smart phone and you aren’t getting cash back for grocery shopping, you’re really missing out! On cash! C-A-S-H!! Yes, you can get paid to buy groceries.

Yes, I know it may sound fishy, but you can get cash back for buying groceries. It isn’t a credit card type scheme either. No, iBotta is a cash back app.

It works in 3 simple steps:

  1.  Go shopping
  2.  Click on the app which rebates you’d like to redeem from your shopping trip
  3.  Scan your receipt with your cell phone camera

Then just wait. Your cash back will be in your account shortly. It usually takes my rebates about a day to go through. I like to bank up a good amount before withdrawing to my Paypal account.

There are rebates for all sorts of things. Which for a frugally minded person, you can easily see how this handy little app can really maximize savings. Most recently I redeemed 20 cents for milk, 20 cents for bread, 50 cents for granola bars, 20 cents for cheese etc. These are things I actually needed, so why not get the cost down a little more?

Plus, you can use coupons in addition to the app! So the granola bars I purchased were $1.99 at Giant Eagle, I used a $.75 off coupon which doubled to be a $1.50 coupon then I redeemed for 50 cents back from iBotta. So I paid 50 cents for the box but got back 50 cents within 24 hours. That, friends, would be a deal.

If you’re interested in signing up for iBotta, you can click here. It is very easy to get started, but if you have any questions, comment below and I’ll do my best to help you 🙂
