It’s important to make time for each other as a couple. It’s even more important to try to do that when you have a tight budget. Good thing I’m cheap 😉 I’ll be sharing our budget friendly dates and ideas for your own!
This date, we went to Cabella’s. I’m all for trying new things. And I don’t know much at all about hunting. But I did enjoy shopping for a machete. You know, to prepare for the impending apocalypse.
That sign look familiar? Yep. These are the same guys who make hunting and fishing video games. But their store is much more than a retail venue.
They have fresh water aquariums!
I wish I could better show scale on these guys. They were huge fish.
There are also a lot of animals on display as well.
Very realistic.
And even a mountain in the center of the store.
We spent a good hour or so just walking around and looking at all the displays. The a bit looking at knives and guns. We opted to pass for now. But Cabella’s will have our business some day soon. We loved getting creative and looking at tents & survival supplies to discuss how it could help us survive an apocalypse. And came to the conclusion that we should take up fishing again and visit a shooting range. Which are more date ideas!
There is also a restaurant on the second floor. So you could easily spend a few hours here! The store was closing, so we hit the road. But all in all, it was a fun and free date that we will do again, with extra cash and time in hand 😉
